Osprey archeon pouch review reddit. . It’s a more traditional-style pack in keeping with the majority of Osprey’s recreational offerings and this particular line is available in 25, 30, 45, 65 and 70-litre versions. Archeon has better materials and the possibility to combine bags of different sizes but I wasn't the biggest fan of the layout - too few compartments for my liking. Although the Archeon is bigger, the weight distribution felt a lot better and the hipbelt was much more comfortable. I say intended because I may be returning it, not sure yet. It's a very classic wilderness design. We would like to show you a description here but the site won’t allow us. Not a fan of the material, I'm sure it's durable but it's too stiff. It even fits my ridiculous 17. The content of the review was not shared with Osprey prior to publication. The other bag that was sent for review was the Osprey Archeon 30-litre backpack. In fact, I'll be honest and say it sucks. The zippers are terrible, the shape makes it a pain in the ass to open. I think the 45 seems really solid for outdoors/hiking travel, but maybe too big for carry on? Curious to see what one baggers think of it. I literally just got the Archeon 40 today and couldn't agree more. The small pouch on the strap was kind of useless (since it is an open pouch, every time you swing the bag to your front everything falls out. The water bottle pocket design is plain bad, it sits completely inside the main compartment. Osprey also makes a 2 bottled savu but the reviews i read seemed to indicate you cant really pull the bottle out take a sip and replace while riding. The bontrager rapid bag is similar a friend let me try but the bag is less rigid so cant replace the bottle without stopping to pedal. The Archeon bags are more stylish, they're still great quality and practical but a little less practical than their other bags. ) My biggest problem was the strap, and the way it fit on me. It's not a bad pack, but it's way too tall for carry on as well as too deep front to back. I could just not get it comfortable on my shoulder/sitting where I wanted on my back. This is my first Osprey pack, and I was intended to replace my old worn out Swiss backpack from HS and college (no idea what volume it is).
